Program Manager Job Description

This is a high-level position responsible for managing the delivery of software engineering projects and programs.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Program Strategy and Planning: Develop and manage program strategies, goals, and roadmaps to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  2. Collaborative Execution: Foster effective collaboration among cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and technical stakeholders.
  3. Delivery Management: Oversee project and program progress, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards are met.
  4. Team member Communication: Promote open communication among team members, providing regular updates on status, risks, and program decisions.
  5. Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues, escalating as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management in software engineering or related field preferred.
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies highly valued.
