Energy Storage Professional

We are seeking an experienced Energy Storage Engineer to join our team at a leading company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with expertise in battery-based energy storage systems and their related technologies.

The Energy Storage Engineer will be responsible for designing electrical systems for battery-based energy storage systems, including PCS, BMS, EMS, and SCADA designs.

  • Familiarize yourself with applicable codes, standards, and regulations in the USA.
  • Lead due diligence and owner's engineer experiences, reviewing technical documents and installations for compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date on current battery technologies and their characteristics, relating them to battery parameters.
  • Develop FAT and integration test plans for BESS systems and review technical documents from vendors.
  • Manage bids and projects throughout their life cycle, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating and developing proposals for new energy storage system designs.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation for energy storage systems.
  • Maintaining knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in BESS systems.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a relevant field; Ph.D.s in similar areas are also welcome.
  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical schematics, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.
  • Strong organization, communication, analytical, planning, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Prior experience with other electrical and PV software is an added advantage.
