Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled developer to join our team as a Highly Available Infrastructure Developer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-availability architectures that meet the scalability and reliability requirements of our systems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and implement high-availability architectures with failover and recovery mechanisms to ensure minimal downtime and maximum system uptime.
  • Develop capacity planning models to forecast future scalability requirements and work with stakeholders to implement necessary changes.
  • Establish and document performance baselines, thresholds, and SLAs for critical applications to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance using tools such as Splunk, AppD, Prometheus, Fluentd, ELK, and Dynatrace to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve application issues and improve overall system reliability.

Requirements

  • 5-9 years of experience in site reliability engineering or a related field with a strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with performance testing and engineering, scalability, and availability.
  • Proficiency in languages such as .NET, Go, Python, C++, Ruby, or Java, and software delivery platforms like Puppet, Chef, Ansible, and/or Spinnaker.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Kubernetes and automation across applications/services and infrastructure management.
