We are seeking a skilled Senior Accessibility Strategist to join our Thomson Reuters team, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the accessibility of our products and services.



About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a passion for accessibility to lead by example, drive change, and inspire others. As a Senior Accessibility Strategist, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end quality assurance of a large product portfolio, including collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that accessibility is considered throughout the development lifecycle.



Responsibilities


  • Own the development and implementation of accessibility strategies across various product lines.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, providing guidance on accessibility best practices and advocating for inclusive design.
  • Mentor junior team members, sharing your expertise and promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving accessibility standards and trends, applying this knowledge to inform testing methodologies and tools.
  • Promote a positive and supportive team environment, encouraging respectful discussion and constructive feedback.


About You

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in accessibility, who can communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. If you have a proven track record of driving accessibility initiatives, building strong relationships, and mentoring others, we encourage you to apply.



To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in software development, web development, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in an accessibility-related field, with a deep understanding of WCAG 2.1 (AA) guidelines.
  • Expert-level knowledge of assistive technologies and accessibility-related software.
  • Demonstrated success in facilitating testing efforts across multi-disciplinary teams and influencing process improvements.
