Backend Development Expertise:
We're seeking a seasoned professional with exceptional technical skills in Node.js, Express.js, and database management to contribute to our academic programs.
This role combines hands-on backend development with teaching and mentoring students in cutting-edge technologies. As a part of our team, you'll be responsible for designing, reviewing, and refining curriculum content to reflect real-world practices.
- Expertise in backend development methodologies, including MERN stack
- Strong understanding of API design and database management
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
Becoming a mentor for our students is a significant aspect of this role. You'll provide guidance on backend best practices, coding standards, and industry career paths. This position also involves collaboration with faculty members and Newton School teams to ensure that our curriculum aligns with industry needs.
To succeed in this position, you should have:
- 4-10 years of professional experience as a Software Developer/Engineer with a focus on Backend Development
- Proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, Databases (SQL/NoSQL), and API design
- Solid understanding of backend fundamentals such as RESTful APIs, authentication, server-side logic, and performance optimization
