About the Role

As an Identity Access Management (IAM) Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing IAM solutions using PingFederate, PingAccess, and related Ping Identity products.

You will work on developing and maintaining backend services in Java to support authentication and authorization workflows. Additionally, you will integrate applications into Single Sign-On (SSO) frameworks using SAML, OAuth2, and OIDC protocols.

  • You will customize PingFederate policies using Object-Graph Navigation Language (OGNL) expressions and support front-end customizations (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Collaborate with architects, security teams, and application owners to deliver secure identity solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex authentication and federation issues across environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance access management platforms and federation infrastructure.
  • Participate in IAM roadmap planning and architectural decision-making.
  • Support Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), passwordless authentication (FIDO2/WebAuthn), and adaptive access strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in IAM, with a focus on SSO and federation.
  • Strong hands-on experience with PingFederate, PingAccess, and other Ping Identity tools.
  • Proficiency in Java backend development and scripting (PowerShell, Python).
  • Deep understanding of identity protocols: SAML, OAuth2, OIDC.
  • Experience with Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), Active Directory, System for Cross-Domain Identity Management (SCIM).
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and tools like Postman.
  • Basic Linux administration and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) (X.509 certificates).
