Key Responsibilities

The primary objective of the Specialist Systems Engineer is to ensure the effective management of services on messaging and file transfer technologies. This involves leading a skilled team, managing projects, cost control, and optimization.

The specialist will be responsible for:

  • Managing a team of technical experts in messaging and file transfer technologies.
  • Ensuring high availability and service quality of messaging and file transfer systems.
  • Developing and implementing automation scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Designing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Providing training and guidance to junior engineers.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4-6 years of experience in IT infrastructure management.
  • Strong knowledge of messaging and file transfer technologies.
  • Experience with Sterling file gateway, Sterling Integrator, IBM Connect Express, and IBM Connect Direct.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems.
  • Good understanding of protocols such as SFTP, FTP, FTPs, HTTPS, S3, and Pest.
Working Closely With The Infrastructure Management Team

The Specialist Systems Engineer will work closely with the Infrastructure Management team to ensure seamless integration with other systems and applications. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for this role, as well as the ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
