About Freelance Modeling Position

We are seeking a skilled freelance modeling professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building, validating, and maintaining statistical and predictive models using SAS and Python.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the migration of SAS code to Python, as well as defining standards and workflows for modeling and analytics. Strong leadership and mentorship skills are also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Modeling and Analytics: Develop and maintain statistical and predictive models using SAS and Python.
  • Migration Leadership: Architect and execute SAS to Python migration strategy.
  • Code Translation: Convert SAS macros, procedures, and workflows into optimized Python equivalents.
  • Best Practices: Define modeling standards, workflows, and performance monitoring frameworks.
  • Mentorship: Guide team members on Python adoption, coding practices, and analytics workflows.

Requirements:

  • SAS Mastery: Expertise in Base SAS, SAS/STAT, Enterprise Miner, Visual Analytics, PROC SQL, and macros.
  • Python Expertise: Proficiency in pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn, and PySpark (bonus).
  • Statistical Strength: Experience with regression, forecasting, clustering, classification, A/B testing, and causal inference.
  • Migration Experience: Proven success leading large-scale SAS to Python transitions.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and deliver high-impact results.
