Job Overview:

We seek a seasoned Portfolio Strategist to spearhead our efforts in end-to-end credit underwriting and monitoring.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing underwriting policies to ensure effective credit risk assessment. This involves working closely with the Data Science team to analyze underwriting models, validate their performance, and identify areas for improvement.

  1. Develop and implement underwriting policies to ensure effective credit risk assessment.

  2. Work on solutions for credit underwriting based on different product constructs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  3. Collaborate with the Data Science team to analyze underwriting models, validate their performance, and identify areas for improvement.

  4. Determine performance benchmarks and identify corrective actions in case of breach.

  5. Automate credit policies to minimize manual intervention in assessing creditworthiness.

  6. Develop pricing strategies based on segmentation, ensuring optimal returns while managing risk.

  7. Standardize policies and processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.

  8. Track portfolio profitability, funnel metrics, and risk thresholds to inform business decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree in Finance, Statistics, or Management from a reputable institution.

  • Preferred qualifications include BTech with an MBA.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience, with 3-4 years in risk management and policy creation.

  • Familiarity with risk performance and ability to drive data-driven decision-making.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Hands-on experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets using various data processing tools.

  • Data-driven analytical approach and strong team player mindset.
