Job Description

This role reports to a senior executive and will be based in Jaipur. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and oversight of the organization's surveillance function, ensuring effective detection, investigation, and prevention of market abuse or misconduct.

The primary objective is to safeguard regulatory compliance and uphold market integrity through robust monitoring systems, policies, and cross-functional collaboration. This includes supervising investigations, identifying emerging risks, and recommending preventive measures.

Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying surveillance systems, creating a surveillance framework, and driving the selection, implementation, and enhancement of surveillance platforms, analytics tools, and AI-based monitoring systems.

The team leader will mentor and develop the surveillance team, ensure continuous skill enhancement in regulatory and analytical domains, and benchmark against global best practices.

Key responsibilities include presenting periodic surveillance reports, risk dashboards, and key metrics to senior executives and committees, establishing and periodically updating surveillance policies, escalation protocols, and investigation frameworks, and ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Minimum relevant experience of 5-10+ years with an MBA (in finance), CA, or CS qualification is required.

The ideal candidate should have knowledge of equity and equity derivatives markets, as well as tools and programming used for analysis and report creation.

Functional competencies required include knowledge and understanding of exchange ecosystems and operations, integrating market knowledge with technical expertise for report automation, analytical thinking with detailed research proficiencies, and pro-active and result-oriented field skills.
