Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient financial platforms. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the stability and performance of our systems, enabling business growth while maintaining high uptime.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have expertise in designing complex systems, automating deployments, and implementing monitoring tools. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that system architecture aligns with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Design: Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and efficient financial platforms.
  • Automation: Implement automation for deployments, monitoring, scaling, and self-healing capabilities.
  • Monitoring & Logging: Establish comprehensive monitoring and logging for financial applications and data pipelines.
  • Incident Response: Participate in on-call rotations, perform root cause analysis, and drive improvements to prevent recurrence of production issues.
  • Collaboration: Partner with software engineers, data engineers, and Finance/Accounting teams to ensure operational needs are met from development through production.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in Systems Architecture, DevOps, or Production Engineering, preferably supporting financial applications.
  • Strong experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, dbt, and financial system integrations from an operational support perspective.
  • Strong scripting/programming skills for automation and tooling.
  • Proven ability to manage incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with FinOps practices for optimizing cloud spend in finance-related platforms.
  • Familiarity with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong communication skills to articulate technical issues and risks to stakeholders.
