Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with domain experts to acquire knowledge of system plans and designs.
  • Lead the development of System Core FS Technical Solutions, including technical safety concepts, safety analysis, and hardware-software safety interfaces.
  • Work with Advanced Engineering teams to incorporate the latest Aptiv technology into System Core FS Technical Solutions.
  • Support the assessment of FS implementation in Tier-2 supplier components and capture key interfaces and content in System Core FS Technical Solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and assist in handing over System Platform FS Technical Solution information to customer projects.
  • Take ownership of key safety architecture-related work products, such as Technical Safety Concept and Requirements, Safety Analysis, and HW Elements Evaluation Report.
  • Support advanced safety methods and techniques, such as SOTIF, STPA, Safe AI/ML, and more.
  • Support GPO design and Gate Reviews by providing accurate and timely status of PSA development.
  • Support changes requests, deviation requests, and escalation reviews related to System FS implementation.
  • Support developing FS-related templates, design guides, and training.
  • Support management issue tracking and design reviews meetings internally and externally.
  • Support FS technology awareness at Aptiv by attending/presenting at technical conferences and delivering seminars to Aptiv engineers.
  • Travel Expectations: up to 5% to support Aptiv Engineering Competency and Customers.
  • Support the development of a Supplier DIA with selected suppliers of ASIL-rated SW and HW components.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in EE, Automotive Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in Functional Safety (ISO 26262).
  • Experience in system modeling (SysML/Matlab/Simulink).
  • Experience in safety analysis (DFMEA, HARA, FTA).
  • 3+ years of experience in system design and development.
  • Knowledgeable in automotive product development life cycle.
  • Knowledgeable in requirements management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to forge productive relationships, achieve cooperation, and influence priorities.
  • Strong oral/written communication skills and ability to lead group projects and management reviews.
  • Must be proactive and not wait for instructions.
