Process Safety Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Safety Specialist to join our team at Syngene International Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving process safety management across the organization, ensuring compliance with Syngene EHSS policies, guidelines, and standards, as well as EHSS statutory requirements of the State & Central government.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drive Process Safety Management: Lead the Process Safety Management Element Task team and workstreams meetings to ensure effective implementation of process safety management across Syngene.
2. Conduct Risk Assessments: Conduct, participate, and coordinate process risk assessments (PRA) and risk assessments for processes, projects, and facilities, providing expert support in PHA/PRA methodologies.
3. Track and Follow-up: Track PSI, PRA, PSSR, and MOC action items through Syngene-wide systems and follow up for closure.
4. Documentation and Reporting: Review and update process safety management documentation as required and prepare the EHSS dashboard and PSM KPIs on a monthly basis.
5. Auditing and Compliance: Ensure the conducting of internal EHSS audits, special audits, and EHSS toller's audits across Syngene, and track and follow up on EHSS audit observations (internal/external) actions items completion and compliance in line with policy.
6. Incident Investigation: Track and follow up EHSS incidents investigation and ensure closure of investigation actions and CAPA action items with defined target dates.
7. Training and Development: Provide training to employees and contractors on process safety management standards and local process safety requirements.
Requirements:
* Graduate Engineer in Chemical Engineering
* Experience in process safety management at API/hazardous chemical process industries
* Well-versed with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and MS Projects
* Good command in English, both oral and written, and customer service skills
* Knowledge of risk assessment tools, such as PHAST, ALOHA, CRW, PHA, Dow Index, Chemeo, etc.
* Great interpersonal and communication skills
Experience:
* 6 to 9 years of relevant experience in EHSS
Behavioral Skills:
* Ability to multi-task and independently handle cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders
* Experience in leading projects and managing client relationships
* Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to work with cross-functional departments, manage client relationships
* Effective communication
* Knowledge and application of the subject
