As a Supply Chain Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and maintenance of essential supplies, including provisions, beverages, technical equipment, and spare parts. Your primary objective will be to ensure that all products meet the required standards and specifications of the shipping industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procure and maintain an inventory of essential supplies, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Liaise with ship owners to identify their needs and provide tailored solutions, enhancing customer satisfaction and building long-term relationships.
- Process orders accurately and efficiently, managing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers and logistics providers, and verifying invoices for payment.
- Monitor stock levels, manage inventory effectively, and conduct regular stock checks to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Prepare quotations, invoices, and manage payments from clients, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of transactions.
- Adhere to safety regulations and industry standards, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Stay updated with market trends, new products, and competitive pricing, identifying potential new products and suppliers to enhance service offerings.
