Procurement Manager

Description:

The role of a Procurement Manager is pivotal in the efficient management of pharmaceutical procurement. You will oversee centralized procurement operations, ensuring that medicines are delivered to all hospital locations on time and in optimal quantities.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for pharmaceutical product procurement across all trust hospitals.
  • Negotiate contracts with manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers, ensuring the best possible pricing and terms.
  • Manage vendor relationships and assess their performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery of essential medicines.
  • Coordinate and manage tender processes and vendor empanelment procedures.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical procurement, preferably in hospital or healthcare settings.
  • Knowledge of supply chain networks and distribution systems.
  • Experience in managing vendors and negotiating contracts.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP software.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team.
