Job Description

We are seeking a Condition Monitoring Specialist to provide engineer-level support on the condition monitoring of rotating equipment.

The successful candidate will utilise various condition monitoring techniques such as vibration, oil analysis, thermography, and videoscopy to monitor and analyse the condition of rotating equipment.

The goal is to identify potential failures and recommend maintenance actions to prevent major breakdowns.

The specialist will work closely with maintenance teams to implement reliability improvement plans and initiatives based on condition monitoring parameters.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to ensure that all stakeholders are informed about the condition of rotating equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To carry out a detailed analysis of condition-based data and monitor and analyse condition monitoring, vibration oil analysis, wear particle, thermography, etc.
  • To identify inherent conditions leading to rotating equipment failure through various operational machine condition monitoring parameters.
  • To prepare corrective actions recommendation on observed fault, defect initial damage report to maintenance, follow up and closing.
  • To aim to prevent failure of rotating equipment using all possible condition monitoring data information analytical tools.
  • To monitor and track rotating equipment condition in terms of failures bad actors on cost and count and identify corrective and preventive actions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Accredited vibration analysis training Cat I.
  • Knowledge of condition monitoring data systems like CSI Emerson SKF and GE System 1 SmartSignal, various oil analysis techniques, wear particles, thermography, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarisation with various vibration standards.
  • Basic understanding of rotor dynamics, mechanical design, equipment function, and construction.
