ETL Tester Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the quality and integrity of ETL processes by designing, developing, and executing test cases, scripts, and data.

Key responsibilities include creating and reviewing complex test cases, test scripts, and test data for ETL processes, executing test cases, validating data transformations, and ensuring data accuracy and consistency across source and target systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Expert level knowledge in core concepts of SQL and query.
  • Experience leading QA analysts on a project team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks effectively.
  • Hands-on experience with test management tools, Azure DevOps/JIRA.
  • Familiarity with agile concepts, Scrum, and Lean methodologies.
Benefits

The ideal candidate will have strong familiarity with data warehouse projects and data modeling. They should understand BI concepts, including OLAP vs OLTP and deploying applications on cloud servers.

They must be able to lead and mentor a team of ETL testers, providing technical guidance, training, and support in ETL tools, SQL, and test automation frameworks.

Other Requirements

Azure DevOps/JIRA experience is highly beneficial.
