Lead Automotive Designer – Biw Systems Expert

Sr. Design Engineer – Biw Under Body
- Control and conceive in-house or sub-contracted parts within project boundaries, respecting planning objectives, mass, cost, and quality.
- Generate and evaluate new concepts based on vehicle architecture and interfaces.
- Prepare Statements of Requirement for supplier parts.
- Converge delegated interfaces through project meetings and design pilot meetings.
- Carry out technical constructions within project boundaries, converging with peripheral systems.
- Guarantee convergence of internal part processes with professional engineers or project managers.
- Perform technical reviews, ensuring consideration of technical repositories and checklists.
- Evaluate proximity analyses via DMU module across all faces.
- Evolve components, systems, and corresponding performance, timing, and cost targets during pre-development to handover phase.
- Exposure to work from styling phase until TKO phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering from a college of technology or university.
- Or Post Diploma in Mechanical or Production or Industrial Engineering from a college of technology or university.
- 4-6 years of work experience.
- Good knowledge of CATIA V5 or V6.
- Exposure to automotive engineering and design.
- Design and release experience in Underbody Engineering.
- Vehicle manufacturing and assembly process experience.
- Working knowledge of PLM tools.
- Preferable experience in ENOVIA PLM - 3D.
