Cloud Engineer Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure solutions.

You will be responsible for proposing and implementing advanced cloud architectures, ensuring continuous alignment with key cloud providers such as AWS and Google. Additionally, you will build and set up new development tools and infrastructure, support the continuous evolution of client's infrastructure as code approach, and ensure advanced levels of automation throughout the lifecycle of all workloads.

Other responsibilities include ensuring there are no single points of failure in the infrastructure, continuously improving efficiency when setting up new cloud infrastructure and maintaining existing instances, and building the bridge between Security and DevOps teams.

Key skills and qualifications include experience with Docker, Linux systems management, proven experience in Kubernetes, experience with Git, GitHub, BitBucket or Stash, and CI and CD tools like Jenkins, Bamboo or similar.

Solid experience with at least one programming/scripting language is required, as well as experience with application and system monitoring tools, web servers (Apache, NGINX), database systems (SQL and NoSQL), caching (Cassandra, Redis, Memcache or others), and queues (RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ or similar).

Experience working as a DevSecOps or Cloud Engineer in an agile and fast-paced environment, as well as experience in a continuous integration/deploy environment and experience with AWS, are also necessary.
