Cloud Engineering Role Overview As a cloud engineer, you will design, build and maintain scalable and secure cloud-based infrastructure. You will be responsible for overseeing code releases, collaborating with software developers and IT staff, and ensuring proper configuration management throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Infrastructure Design: Design and develop cloud-based infrastructure using Azure or AWS services.
  • Pipeline Development: Develop continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using DevOps tools.
  • Automation and Monitoring: Automate repetitive operational tasks, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance controls within the cloud.
Requirements:
  • Azure/AWS Experience: Strong hands-on experience with Azure or AWS services, including EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CloudWatch, and EKS.
  • DevOps Skills: Proficiency with CI/CD tools and pipelines, including Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or similar.
  • Scripting and Automation: Good scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and experience with automation tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes/EKS.
  • Agile Methodologies: Understanding of Agile development practices and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
