Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Storage Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Expertia AI. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support and guidance on our enterprise storage and backup platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot large complex multi-platform storage environments, including fibre channel SANs with multiple directors, servers, and storage frames.
  2. Perform root cause analysis and provide workarounds to ensure business continuity.
  3. Identify, analyze, and resolve problems in storage, backup, and cross-platform environments.
  4. Assist in the creation of processes and procedures required for service delivery.
  5. Perform routine, planned, and emergency maintenance of storage data center equipment.
  6. Identify single-point-of-failure and plan to mitigate the same.
  7. Ensure all services are delivered as per agreed SLAs/OLAs, quality, and scope.
  8. Update and close tickets, update documents, and communicate with vendors or 3rd parties as necessary.
  9. Fulfill critical and complex service requests.
  10. Train and oversee tasks executed by junior members and stand in for them if needed.
  11. Suggest, influence, and implement improvements in the environment, thereby contributing to the improvement of overall operations delivery and client satisfaction.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with the following qualifications:

  1. 5-10 years of work experience in enterprise-level storage and backup platforms, particularly in EMC Storage, NetApp Storage, Networker, NetBackup, Data Protector, Data Domain, and Comm Vault.
  2. Subject matter expertise in either EMC or NetApp Storage, and experience in at least two of the following: HP Storage, Symantec NetBackup, EMC Networker, EMC Data Domain, HP Data Protector, Comm Vault.
  3. Extensive knowledge of SAN technologies design, planning, implementation, and maintenance, as well as experience in troubleshooting and maintaining SAN infrastructure performance, hardware, and connectivity.
  4. Strong understanding of NFS, CIFS, and Fiber Channel protocols, as well as experience in supporting and managing replication.
  5. Experience in supporting and troubleshooting medium to large-scale, multi-site, enterprise storage environments, as well as knowledge of multiple operating systems like Windows, Linux, and UNIX.
  6. Relevant certifications, such as EMC and NetApp, and a good understanding of operational frameworks like ITIL/ITSM.
  7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work in shifts and provide on-call support in a 24x7 environment.
