AI Software Development Engineer

Our organization is seeking an experienced software development engineer to lead the development of AI-native software that enhances creativity and productivity for teams and enterprises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-performance search and retrieval systems, including data indexing, ranking, and query processing using large language models (LLMs).
  • Evaluate and assimilate emerging techniques into our production systems, leveraging recent developments in foundation models.
  • Establish evaluation frameworks for agent, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and LLM performance.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in software engineering or end-to-end data science, proficient in Python and data-oriented algorithms.
  • Strong background in either distributed data systems or machine learning engineering; experience with distributed computing frameworks like Ray is a plus.
  • Proven ability to experiment with new techniques and deliver robust production code, utilizing technologies such as Python, LlamaIndex, LangChain, Ray, Postgres, Iceberg, Google Cloud, Docker/Kubernetes/Helm.
  • Recent demonstrated experience in building agents, training and evaluating emerging foundation LLMs, building RAG systems, and planet-scale information retrieval systems, or working with vector databases.
