This role involves performing day-to-day administration of DB2 databases, including security, backup/recovery, capability planning, and performance tuning. The ideal candidate will have experience with installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of database systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform feasibility studies for installation and setup of DB2 databases.
  • Monitor database performance and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.
  • Capacity planning, space management, and data maintenance activities for database system.
  • Perform database enhancement and modification as per requirements.
  • Assist in implementation of new features and program fixes in databases.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with DB2 database administration, including security, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of Linux operating system and scripting languages.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex database issues.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
