Job Description

As a Lead Robotics Engineer at ABB, you will be responsible for managing industrial processes and robotic application automation projects. Your primary goal is to develop innovative solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency in various industries.

This role involves designing and implementing robotic systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure. You will also be accountable for preparing detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using Solidworks/Auto Cad software, as well as performing design calculations and assigning work to team members. Regular communication with stakeholders and sharing project updates are essential aspects of this position.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics/Industrial Engineering or Equivalent
* Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in either a consulting engineering firm or an operating engineering environment and sound knowledge of Factory Automation, SPMs, Robotics Applications
* Capability to evolve, develop, and implement best suitable robotic solutions for manufacturing industries
* Experience in designing using 3D software's like Solid works, Catia V5, NX, Inventor, Creo
* Familiarity with simulation software like Robot Studio, Rob cad, etc. (added advantage)
* Knowledge of PDM/PLM software such as Windchill, Autodesk Vault, and EPDM
