Key Responsibilities

This role is responsible for leading a team in strategic planning, focusing on efficiency and improvement. Key areas of focus include thought leadership, process automation, and risk management.

Operational Oversight

The successful candidate will oversee the review and delivery of financial statements, manage technical research, and ensure adherence to accounting standards. Additionally, they will be responsible for client service delivery, maintaining high service levels and ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Team Management

As a leader, the individual will provide guidance and support to their team, fostering a high-performance culture. They will supervise employees to ensure quality and productivity, and have the ability to lead a medium-sized team.

Governance & Risk Management

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting deadlines, identifying and mitigating risks in performance and reporting, and effectively liaising with senior-level stakeholders.

They will also manage technical research and application of US GAAP to accounting issues, and have the ability to analyze, resolve, and document problems and resolutions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate will require:

  • Ability to lead a medium-sized team;
  • Support senior leadership in adoption and execution of overall strategy as well as operational delivery;
  • Continuous improvement focus, with the ability to identify risks, cost efficiencies, and operational improvements;
  • Strong organization and time management skills;
  • Self-driven and motivated with a focus on operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
