Backend Software Development Position

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated software engineer to join our team as an offshore consultant.

This critical role will focus on migrating core functionality from legacy systems to modern, event-driven architectures using Java Spring Boot microservices.

Design & Develop:

  • Architect, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable Java Spring Boot microservices.

Legacy Code Migration:

  • Analyze existing code that integrates with loan servicing platforms, understand its business logic, and lead its migration to the new Java stack.

Event-Driven Architecture:

  • Decommission legacy message brokers and implement modern event-driven systems using cloud-native technologies like Google Cloud Pub/Sub.

Cloud-Native Solutions:

  • Build and deploy services using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies, including Cloud Functions, Spanner, and Firestore.

System Analysis:

  • Develop a deep understanding of entire systems, identifying dependencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in backend software development, with a strong emphasis on enterprise-level systems.

Expert-level proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework.

Professional experience with .NET (C#), with a demonstrated ability to read, understand, and reverse-engineer legacy codebases.

Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically with services like Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Spanner, and/or Firestore.

Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven design patterns.
