About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director of Data Science to lead our data science team. As a senior manager, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end clinical reporting projects using R, ensuring timely and quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead clinical reporting projects using R
  • Guide package development and Shiny app development at enterprise grade
  • Design and manage Shiny dashboards and internal tools
  • Oversee SAS-to-R migration and translation of legacy code with accurate validation
  • Define and maintain standardized R programming frameworks
  • Automate and optimize existing processes and applications
  • Ensure quality control, test coverage, and adherence to project specifications
  • Guide Agile execution and client communications
  • Support model lifecycle activities including deployment, version control, and monitoring

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • Post-graduate degree in statistics, computing, life sciences, or a related field
  • 12-15 years of experience in data science and leadership
  • Strong leadership, mentorship, and client communication abilities
  • Effective project management and task prioritization skills
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work across functions
  • Proficient in using SAS EG/Studio for programming
  • Familiarity with Unix environment and programming
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team of junior programmers
