Project Manager - Civil Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee all civil engineering and construction activities related to our distillery facilities. This role requires strong project management skills, a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead and manage civil engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and regularly report progress to senior management.
  • Civil Engineering Expertise:
    • Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to design, plan, and implement civil infrastructure projects for the distillery.
    • E nsure the maintenance and repair of existing civil structures, including buildings, roads, drainage systems, and utilities.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
    • E nsure all civil engineering activities adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including building codes and safety standards.
    • Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure work environment for all employees and contractors.
  • Vendor and Contractor Management:
    • Select, hire, and manage contractors, architects, and engineering firms for civil projects.
    • Negotiate contracts, review proposals, and ensure that contractors deliver work according to agreed-upon specifications.
  • Budget Oversight and Risk Management:
    • Develop and manage budgets for civil engineering projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
    • Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and report budget variances to management.
  • Risk Mitigation and Project Delivery:
    • I dentify potential risks related to civil engineering projects and develop mitigation strategies.
    • P roactively address challenges to prevent project delays or cost overruns.
  • Effective Communication and Collaboration:
    • F oster effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, safety, and environmental teams.
    • R eport progress and updates to senior management and stakeholders regularly.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • M aintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
    • P rovide regular reports on project status, milestones achieved, and potential challenges.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in civil engineering and project management, preferably in the industrial or distillery sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
