Job Description

This role oversees maintenance activities, ensuring safe, efficient operation of plant equipment.

The incumbent will lead and manage the maintenance team, develop schedules, and provide direction for predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

  • Lead the maintenance team to ensure safe and uninterrupted operation of all plant equipment.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to minimize plant downtime.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance with company safety protocols and relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Supervising the reporting and investigation of any maintenance-related accidents, near-misses, or safety incidents.
  • Conducting regular safety and environmental risk assessments, identifying hazards, and implementing mitigation strategies.
Operational Maintenance Management

The incumbent will oversee the maintenance of waste handling systems, combustion units, flue gas cleaning systems, ash handling, and all other related equipment in the plant.

They will ensure that equipment operates at peak performance by conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting, and timely repairs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A degree in Engineering or a relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the Energy, Utilities industry, with 5 years in a maintenance leadership role.
  • Good management and leadership qualities.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
