Job Title: Virtual Desktop Solutions Specialist
Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT professional to join our team. As a Virtual Desktop Solutions Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining virtual desktop solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design scalable and secure architectures, and ensure a smooth deployment and operation.
Main Responsibilities:
- Solution Design: End-to-end virtual desktop solutions by analyzing business requirements, assessing existing infrastructure, and designing scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures.
- Citrix Integration: Design and integrate Citrix Virtual Apps and Citrix Cloud with Azure virtual desktop services to provide a comprehensive and cohesive virtual desktop solution.
- Azure Configuration: Configure and manage Azure virtual machines, session hosts, virtual networks, and storage to create and maintain Azure virtual desktop environments.
- Identity and Access Management: Design and implement identity and access management strategies, including integration with Azure Active Directory, multifactor authentication, and role-based access controls for virtual desktop environments.
- Network Infrastructure: Design and configure network connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Azure, including network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers, to ensure secure and efficient data transfer.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize virtual desktop environments for performance, scalability, and user experience. Monitor and tune resource allocation, load balancing, and network bandwidth to ensure optimal performance.
- Security and Compliance: Implement security measures, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements, to protect virtual desktop environments and ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies.
- High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime and data loss. Create redundancy mechanisms, backup strategies, and failover mechanisms to ensure business continuity.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Set up monitoring tools and processes to proactively monitor the virtual desktop infrastructure. Identify and troubleshoot performance issues, system errors, and network connectivity problems to maintain a stable and reliable environment.
- Documentation and Collaboration: Create design documentation, implementation guides, and operational procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure teams, security teams, and application owners, to ensure successful deployment and ongoing management of virtual desktop solutions.
