Job Title: Senior Cybersecurity Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security operations, you will be responsible for providing managed services to clients, ensuring their Security Infrastructures and systems remain operational.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively monitor work queues to identify potential security threats.
  • Perform operational tasks to resolve incidents and requests in a timely manner, adhering to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Update tickets with resolution tasks performed, capturing all required and relevant information for immediate resolution.
  • Investigate and analyze issues and errors prior to or when they occur, logging all such incidents in a timely manner.
  • Provide second-level support to incidents, requests, and identify root causes of problems.
  • Communicate with other teams and clients to extend support and execute changes with clear identification of risks and mitigation plans.
  • Escalate tickets as necessary, working closely with CoE and other teams to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Collaborate with automation teams to optimize effort and automate routine tasks.
  • Work across various resolver groups (internal and external) like Service Provider, TAC, etc.
  • Identify potential security threats before they impact client services.
  • Assist L1 Security Engineers in better initial triage or troubleshooting.
  • Lead and manage client escalations for operational issues.
  • Contribute to change management by logging change requests with complete details, including patching and configuration item changes.
  • Ensure all changes are carried out with proper approvals and plan approved maintenance activities.
  • Analyze incident and request tickets for quality and recommend improvements with updates to knowledge articles.
  • Produce trend analysis reports for identifying tasks for automation, leading to reduced tickets and optimized effort.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing (or demonstrated equivalent work experience).
  • Certifications relevant to services supported, such as CCNA in Security.
  • Moderate level of relevant managed services experience handling Security Infrastructure.
  • Moderate level of knowledge in ticketing tools, preferably Service Now.
  • Moderate level of working knowledge of ITIL processes.
