Job Overview

Our organization seeks a highly skilled and versatile Technical Project Manager / Senior Java Professional, capable of effectively managing technical execution and project management responsibilities.

This role combines backend development expertise with leadership skills, ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments where technology meets delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Requirement Gathering Sessions: Gather requirements from stakeholders, translate them into actionable technical tasks, and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Backend Development Expertise: Develop and optimize complex Java applications using Oracle SQL and relational databases, as well as Apache Spark-based batch jobs and large-scale data processing pipelines.
  • Project Leadership: Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, capturing requirements, managing expectations, and ensuring alignment with timelines and deliverables.
  • Resource Allocation and Scheduling: Work closely with development managers, leads, and QA teams to define schedules, allocate resources, and make key implementation decisions.
  • Coding Standards and Best Practices: Contribute to design discussions, architecture reviews, and enforce coding standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Support the development team in troubleshooting issues and resolving production defects effectively.
  • Project Documentation and Status Reporting: Maintain clear and concise project documentation, status reports, and release plans.
  • Collaboration with DevOps and QA Teams: Coordinate and support production releases in collaboration with DevOps and QA teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Java Development Experience: 5+ years of professional Java development experience with strong backend system design exposure.
  • Oracle SQL and Relational Databases: Expertise in Oracle SQL and relational databases; ability to write and optimize complex queries and procedures.
  • Apache Spark or Equivalent Frameworks: Experience with batch processing systems and exposure to Apache Spark or equivalent large-scale data processing frameworks.
  • Client Interaction and Communication: Excellent client interaction and communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and negotiate priorities.
  • Agile Delivery Environment: Proven ability to work in Agile or iterative delivery environments.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivery ownership.
