Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive system testbeds utilizing various networking devices and servers to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Perform rigorous QA validation of 802.11 Wireless and proprietary features, including end-to-end testing of client to cloud architecture to guarantee optimal performance.
  • Recreate complex customer issues in a lab environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficient resolution and improve overall quality.
  • Conduct thorough performance testing using iPerf and work closely with the CS team to review and enhance test coverage for defect identification.
  • Create and track bugs in Jira, escalating critical issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop technical documentation for internal teams in Confluence to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Provide training and guidance to Level 1/2 Engineers on emerging wireless technologies to foster continuous learning and skill development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Lead Engineer with a strong background in system design and implementation.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline with a focus on wireless communication systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of 802.11 protocol standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and hands-on experience with Enterprise-grade Wireless Access Points and basic concepts of routing and switching.
  • Experience with validating IEEE 802.1x features using Freeradius or standard RADIUS server to ensure secure network operations.
  • Strong understanding of 802.11 protocols (r/k/v) and troubleshooting based on wireless packet captures to resolve complex issues efficiently.
  • Ability to quickly assess technical aspects of a problem and advocate for customer success in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CWNA/CWSP/CWAP certification for advanced wireless expertise.
  • Scripting experience in Python for automation and data analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with ISE/ClearPass for robust network security.
