Job Title:

Research Development Team Lead

Job Overview:

  • We are seeking an experienced Research Development Team Leader to spearhead new product development, cost reduction initiatives, and quality improvement projects.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in polymer science or paint technology, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in the coatings or polymer industry.
  • This role requires exceptional coordination skills, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive new product development activities.
  • You will be responsible for providing technical support for production, coordinating with production department for troubleshooting, and offering technical guidance.
  • Additionally, you will be involved in the transfer of technology by analyzing pitot data, coordinating plant trials, and optimizing process conditions at plant scale.
  • A deep understanding of materials, including resin, substrates, and coating applications, is essential for this role.
  • Experience in formulations, chemistry, and synthesis of solvent-based coatings and water-based coatings is also required.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of materials – Resin, substrates like metal, wood, and other materials in coating applications.
  • Experience in formulations in chemistry and Synthesis of solvent-based coatings and water-based Coatings for Anti-corrosive coatings, wood coatings, adhesives, pigments, and colour matching techniques.
