Quality Assurance Specialist

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, with experience in manual and automated testing methodologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining test cases for OTT platforms, including video playback, UI/UX, and streaming performance. They will also test video streaming workflows, ensuring compatibility with protocols like HLS and DASH.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for OTT platforms.
  • Test video streaming workflows, including encoding, packaging, and delivery.
  • Validate content delivery across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Roku, Smart TVs, web browsers).
  • Perform functional, regression, performance, and compatibility testing for OTT applications.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira or Bugzilla.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, with at least 1-2 years in the OTT or media streaming industry.
  • Strong understanding of video streaming protocols (HLS, DASH) and OTT platform testing requirements.
  • Experience testing on multiple devices and platforms (iOS, Android, Roku, Fire TV, Smart TVs, web browsers).
  • Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
