Search Solutions Expert

We are seeking an experienced professional to design, develop, and optimize search applications that deliver exceptional user experiences.

The ideal candidate will combine strong software engineering skills with deep knowledge of information retrieval systems and the ability to work on challenging search problems at scale.

About the Role

  • Design and Implement Advanced Search Functionality: Utilize modern search technologies (such as Elasticsearch, Solr, or similar platforms) to create high-quality, scalable search applications with a focus on relevancy, performance, and user experience.
  • Develop Search Algorithms and Ranking Models: Create and optimize search algorithms, ranking models, and retrieval methods to improve search quality.
  • Analyze and Maintain Existing Search Infrastructure: Analyze and maintain existing search infrastructure and applications to ensure optimal performance.
  • Implement A/B Tests and Indexing Strategies: Design and execute A/B tests to measure search quality improvements and implement efficient indexing strategies and data preparation pipelines.
  • Work with Machine Learning Models: Implement machine learning models for search ranking and analyze search performance metrics.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience developing search solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with search engines (Elasticsearch, Solr, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of information retrieval concepts (TF-IDF, BM25, vector search).
  • Expertise in SQL databases and experience with NoSQL solutions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Knowledge of modern neural search techniques and vector embeddings.
  • Experience with Knowledge Graphs/Graph RAG and related infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with relevance evaluation metrics.
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
