Lead Quality Assurance Expert

The Role

This role is responsible for overseeing the overall quality of applications, data, and development processes. The Lead Quality Assurance Expert will manage and refine our software QA practices, define and report on key quality metrics, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure all system data and applications features are of the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and implement the QA strategy aligned with business and engineering goals.
  • Establish quality standards, KPIs, and metrics to measure and improve product quality.
  • Process & Methodology: Develop and maintain robust QA processes including test planning, execution, automation, and reporting.
  • Champion Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices to integrate QA seamlessly into the development lifecycle.
  • Conduct post-mortems and follow up with all teams to improve development processes.
  • Automation & Tools: Drive the adoption of test automation frameworks and tools to improve efficiency and coverage.
  • Evaluate and implement QA technologies that support scalability and innovation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate quality risks early in the development process.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for critical defects and failures.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree (e.g., Bachelor's degree).
  • 10+ years of QA experience.
  • Strong experience with application, data, and API testing.
  • Good understanding of Web-based technology architecture and data structure.
  • Strong database skills (SQL).
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience testing business solutions delivered on SaaS models.
  • Planning, designing, implementation, and use of automated test suites.
