Job Title: Physical Education Director

About the Role:

The Physical Education Director is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a comprehensive physical education program. This includes teaching physical fitness, competitive training and coaching, curriculum development, and on-ground classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching physical fitness, competitive training and coaching to students
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive physical education program
  • Coordinating and implementing programs chalked out by the physical culture committee (sports) of the college and universities
  • Maintaining sports facilities and equipment
  • Reporting to the registrar and student discipline
  • Organizing state/national inter-university tournaments
  • Collaborating with schools/departments and encouraging faculty/staff/students to participate in sports activities
  • Interactions with technical experts of various sports, federations, and officiating assignments

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external agencies
  • Knowledge of physical education and sports management
  • Ability to develop and implement effective programs and initiatives
