Backend Developer Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Backend Developer to join our team. As a highly skilled professional, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining robust and scalable backend solutions that power our innovative healthcare platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing efficient database schemas using PostgreSQL.
  • Developing and maintaining backend services and APIs using Python and Django.
  • Contribute to the design and development of new products and services across the development stack.
  • Integrating third-party services and APIs.
  • Writing clean, modular and well-documented code.
  • Participating in code reviews and ensuring code quality.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving system performance issues and bugs.
  • Staying current with the latest technologies and trends in backend development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in Django and Python backend development.
  • Expertise in Docker and containerized deployments.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Proficiency with PostgreSQL and experience in database design and management.
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
