Job Description:

The Security Managed Services Engineer is a highly skilled role responsible for providing expert-level services to clients by proactively identifying and resolving complex technical incidents and problems. This includes conducting advanced threat hunting, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management activities to ensure the highest level of service delivery.

The primary objective of this role is to maintain zero missed service level agreement (SLA) conditions and manage tickets of high complexity. The successful candidate will be expected to have a deep understanding of client's high-level and low-level security architecture and provide resolution to a diverse range of complex problems.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our security operations center (SOC) and take the lead role in threat detection and incident response activities. You will also leverage internal and external resources to research threats, vulnerabilities, and intelligence on various attackers and attack infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Cyber Analytics: Proactively drive hunting and analysis against the dataset available for customers
  • Threat Detection and Incident Response: Work with our security operations center (SOC) and take the lead role in threat detection and incident response activities
  • Threat Intelligence: Leverage internal and external resources to research threats, vulnerabilities, and intelligence on various attackers and attack infrastructure
  • Big Data Analytics: Use Big Data Analytics platform to identify threats, determine root cause, scope, and severity of each and compile/report findings
  • Malware Analysis: Work with Threat Intelligence and Malware solutions to identify threats, develop or recommend countermeasures, and perform advanced network and host analysis in the event of a compromise
  • Network and Host Analysis: Characterize suspicious binaries and identify traits, C2, and develop network and host-based IOCs
  • Memory Dump and Log Analysis: Identify potential malicious activity from memory dumps, logs, and packet captures
  • Threat Communication: Provide both internal & external parties key information to respond to threat
  • Incident Remediation: Participate as part of a close team of technical specialists on coordinated responses and subsequent remediation of security incidents
  • Customer Consultation: Interface with customers on a daily basis to consult with them on best security practices and help them mature their security posture
  • Threat Modeling: Create Threat Models based on Mitre ATT&CK framework and cyber kill chain for customers
