Key Result Areas :

  • Develop a risk-based annual audit plan based on management inputs, business priorities, and assessment of the business environment.
  • Identify and finalize vendors for program activities execution.
  • Lead execution of the Internal Audit Plan as approved by the audit committee, ensuring timely completion and stakeholder reporting.
  • Execute functional audits (in-house or outsourced) according to the annual plan approved by the audit committee.
  • Monitor and report open Internal Audit observations to stakeholders every month.
  • Lead follow-up audits to assess the efficacy and effectiveness of management's remediation on internal audit reviews' observations.
  • Establish and maintain Internal Audit SOP, including templates, protocols, and documentation requirements.
  • Create an audit repository with programs, checklists, templates, and tools for standardization and consistency in audit execution.
  • Plan, develop, and maintain audit support tools to enhance audit process quality and efficiency.
  • Partner with the Risk Management function and provide inputs for entity and functional level risk identification and assessment.
  • Provide input to the risk identification and assessment program for emerging risks identified during internal audit execution.
  • Use risk assessment output as input for developing an evidence-based internal audit plan.
  • Monitor risk mitigation steps, initiatives taken by management, and calibrate internal audit procedures.
  • Leverage other programs as a 2nd line of defense (Quality, Safety, Security) for internal audit planning and execution.

Educational Qualifications & Experience

Essential Education:

Chartered Accountant

Desired Education:

CIA, CISA, CWA

Experience

A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in implementing, delivering, and embedding risk management at strategic and operational levels.

Proven experience undertaking audits across diverse areas of the organization.

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interface and influence all levels of management.

Knowledge and Specific Skills

Familiarity with corporate governance, internal audit & risk management domains is essential.
