About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for regional executive-level support, day-to-day operations, and technical oversight of Cvent's India Information Security team. Key responsibilities include:

1. Safety and Security Management

  • Collaborate with Global Information Security leadership on comprehensive information security strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure adequate resourcing and support for regional security risk assessment, treatment activities, and security operations.
  • Maintain alignment between Global and India-based teams on information security policies and practices.

2. Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead and mentor the India Information Security team, promoting coaching, innovation, and learning.
  • Develop and implement effective communication and coordination between India-based teams and regional stakeholders.

3. Security Operations

  • Provide technical oversight for security controls, cloud security, data protection, application security, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence capabilities.

4. Compliance and Risk Management

  • Oversight of compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2) and global data privacy laws relevant to SaaS platforms.

5. Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging threats, technologies, and best practices in cybersecurity.
  • Foster innovative security processes and solutions to enhance Cvent's security posture.

Requirements

15+ years of experience in information security, preferably with a Master's degree in Computer Science or related field. Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CCSP), strong technical knowledge, and understanding of security risk management methodologies are essential. Proven track record in managing information security for a global SaaS company, expertise in cloud security architectures, DevSecOps, endpoint detection, and response tools, SIEM systems, and knowledge of IT asset, risk, and vulnerability management technologies are preferred.
