Our company is seeking an exceptional GIS Developer to join our team. As a key member of our GIS development team, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining custom GIS applications and web-based mapping solutions.

The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with strong communication and documentation skills. A bachelor's or master's degree in GIS, computer science, geography, or a related field is required, along with minimum 7 years of experience in GIS development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain custom GIS applications and web-based mapping solutions.
  • Analyze User Requirements: Analyze user requirements to develop and optimize geospatial workflows and tools.
  • Integration: Integrate GIS applications with various enterprise systems and APIs.
  • Data Automation: Develop scripts and tools for data automation, analysis, and processing (Python/ArcPy).
  • Spatial Data Modeling: Perform spatial data modeling, geoprocessing, and complex spatial analysis.
  • Maintenance: Maintain and optimize spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, SQL Server with spatial extensions).
  • Visualization: Create interactive maps, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, or Mapbox.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide support and troubleshooting for GIS-related issues and enhancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in GIS development.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Suite (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online). Must have experience migrating Geocortex Essentials and custom HTML 5 web applications, related workflows and controls into ESRI's JavaScript API version 4.
  • Programming Languages: Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript (Leaflet/ArcGIS API for JS), or .NET for GIS applications.
  • Databases: Experience with spatial databases: PostGIS, SQL Server, Oracle Spatial.
  • ETL Tools: Hands-on experience with FME, GDAL, or other ETL/data transformation tools.
  • Web Development: Knowledge of web development frameworks and APIs (REST/SOAP).
  • Enterprise Integration: Experience integrating GIS with other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications: Certifications in GIS (e.g., Esri Technical Certification).
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience working with cloud GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS Enterprise on AWS/Azure).
  • Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
