You will collaborate with diverse teams of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles to drive excellence in our infrastructure services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with colocation vendors to review designs for new data centers, incorporating AWS products, and ensuring compliance with AWS expectations.
  • Serving as a resident engineer during new construction projects, supporting construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Troubleshooting site/equipment failures, conducting root cause analysis, and creating corrective action documentation.
  • Providing technical support for operational issues, ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, and event support.
  • Supporting the design for existing data center upgrades, adding capacity, improving availability, and increasing efficiency.

A day in the life of an AWS Hyper-Scale Infrastructure Specialist will involve interacting with various teams responsible for data center operations, prioritizing tasks to ensure capacity delivery, availability, and safety, and working on local and global projects.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ cumulative years of experience in industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities, including data centers, power generation, oil/gas facilities.
  • Direct experience with design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission-critical facilities, especially data centers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience using web-based and other software tools for calculation and data processing.
  • Resident engineer or hands-on design consultant experience.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.

Estimated Salary: ₹1,200,000 - ₹2,400,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
