Academic Excellence Lead

LIFE Educare is seeking a skilled Academic Excellence Lead to drive academic success across the school.

The Curriculum & Instruction Manager will oversee effective lesson planning, modern teaching methods, and consistent teaching quality by guiding teachers, monitoring instructional practices, providing timely feedback, and collaborating with school leaders to address performance gaps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Plan Oversight: Review and monitor lesson plans from all teachers, ensuring alignment with modern pedagogical strategies and curriculum standards. Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement in a timely manner.
  • Teacher Support & Training: Offer ongoing coaching and mentoring to enhance lesson planning and instructional delivery. Conduct follow-up workshops and training sessions to reinforce modern teaching methods and provide subject-specific guidance when needed.
  • Classroom Observations: Create and maintain an observation schedule covering all teachers, conducting formal and informal observations to evaluate teaching effectiveness and share targeted, actionable feedback to improve student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Reporting & Communication: Prepare monthly academic performance and teaching quality reports for school leaders and maintain open communication with colleagues to address challenges and track progress.
  • Academic Quality Assurance: Ensure consistent implementation of approved teaching and learning strategies, identify professional development needs, and collaborate with leaders to make academic decisions that improve instructional quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of modern pedagogical practices and curriculum design.
  • Excellent observation, feedback, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate teachers with varied levels of openness to change.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities across different school sections.
  • Data-driven approach to tracking academic performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's degree in Education or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of teaching experience, with at least 3 years in an instructional leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing teaching and learning improvements at scale.
  • Strong ability to integrate technology seamlessly into all aspects of academic planning, instruction, and monitoring.
