Procurement Leadership Opportunity

As a key team member, the Supply Chain Procurement Specialist will lead the evaluation and selection of suppliers based on quality, service, cost, and capability. This involves procuring general consumable items, packing materials, and capital expenditures.

The ideal candidate will participate in developing sourcing strategies, identify productivity gains through collaboration with improvement leaders and service center personnel. They will also research alternative sources, negotiate contracts, and oversee their implementation and supplier performance.

This role requires a deep understanding of market dynamics, labor rates, and procurement processes. The successful candidate will have experience with auction tools, RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and sealed bids. They will also be responsible for creating leveraged agreements, calculating and reporting accomplishments, and managing purchasing budgets and forecasts.

Additionally, the Supply Chain Procurement Specialist should have end-to-end process knowledge of import and export of non-commodity procurement and consumable items, as well as expertise in EXIM certification and documentation processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating and selecting suppliers based on quality, service, cost, and capability.
  • Procuring general consumable items, packing materials, and capital expenditures.
  • Developing sourcing strategies and identifying productivity gains.
  • Negotiating contracts and overseeing their implementation and supplier performance.
  • Managing purchasing budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of supply chain management and procurement processes.
  • Experience with auction tools, RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and sealed bids.
  • End-to-end process knowledge of import and export of non-commodity procurement and consumable items.
  • Expertise in EXIM certification and documentation processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
