Job Title: Final Test/Process Qualification Engineer

Job Description:

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong background in final testing and process qualification, with a proven track record of ensuring the reliability and performance of capital equipment. The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for semiconductor equipment, executing checklists and procedures, and updating tasks as needed.

Key responsibilities will include performing final test checklists, signing off on executed tasks, and ensuring timely delivery to customers. The engineer will also collect, process, and analyze data, applying statistical methods as required. Additionally, they will troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, conduct diagnostic procedures to isolate issues, and determine corrective actions.

The role requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to compliance and traceability guidelines. The successful candidate will refine process recipes based on test recipes and customer requirements and have hands-on experience with PID tuning, conventional and advanced methods.

Furthermore, the engineer will conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) for improving or optimizing product design, problem-solving, or manufacturing processes. They will interpret PNID diagrams and make tweaks as required, handle gases like CDA, N2, and helium, and have added advantage if handling process chemistry.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Kawasaki robots, load ports, aligner, and Ionizer bar, evaluate ESD requirements for platforms, and handle delicate semiconductor wafers/panels with precision and care during processing cycles.

Additional responsibilities include coaching team members on mechanical components, adjustment, and alignment, writing daily reports, presenting them to the team, supervisor, and manager, providing input on peers to supervisors during yearly reviews, supporting new product launches, and facilitating team on root cause analysis and corrective actions of supplier quality issues.

For this role, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a degree in electrical, electronics, software, or mechanical engineering, preferably with a minimum 5-8 years of experience in relevant final testing/process, substantial experience in high-volume manufacturing environments, and experience working in equipment engineering in Semiconductor, Solar, or LED industry.

Experience in the Final Test Area is essential, along with the ability to read schematics, electrical, electronic, and mechanical drawings, CAD, SolidWorks, and Inventor knowledge a plus, some software and PLC knowledge and understanding a plus, good understanding of electrical and electronics troubleshooting down to component level, and train other team members, understanding of vacuum, thermal, and Chemical Vapor Deposition systems, and lean manufacturing skills.

Communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for this role, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and provide input on peers to supervisors during yearly reviews.
