Lead Data Engineering Team

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic professional to lead our data engineering team. This hybrid role requires working at least three days a week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a deep understanding of digital trading platforms and other systems to optimize them for business efficiency.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of digital placement data and its interaction with the larger data ecosystem.
  • Build consolidated views using disparate data sources and placement data that includes coverages, exposures, losses, and trading data to provide valuable insights.
  • Solve business pain points using data and technology – collaboration with business and data leaders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science/Statistics/Mathematics/Economics/Engineering discipline.
  • 10-12 years of experience in BI and reporting – should have worked on enterprise-wide reporting systems and built dashboards and reports from scratch.
  • 2-3 years of team management experience handling a minimum team size of 2-3 analysts.

Technical Skills:

  • Data engineering and data transformation skills – SQL or Oracle.
  • Data visualization – Power BI is a must-have, Tableau or Qlik would be a good-to-have.
  • Exposure and familiarity with cloud platforms like Databricks on Azure and AWS.

People and Team:

  • Institutionalize business and domain knowledge gained through knowledge management principles and techniques.
  • Coaching and mentoring the team on a day-to-day basis to enhance their domain knowledge and business understanding.

Soft Skills:

  • Understanding requirements, excellent communication skills, and stakeholder management are crucial skills.
