Job Title: Senior Risk Analyst - Catastrophe Modeling

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Risk Analyst to join our team in Gurugram, Noida. As a Senior Risk Analyst, you will play a key role in managing a team of professionals and be responsible for the end-to-end catastrophe modeling process.

The successful candidate will have 6+ years of experience in cat modelling/treaty modelling preferably with insurance/reinsurance experience. You will be proficient in AIR touchstone, SQL, and MS office, with excellent analytical skills and strong problem-solving abilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high quality risk assessments of individual accounts or portfolios based on information provided in schedules or modelling data.
  • Enhancing efficiency of the process by continuously evaluating and improving the end-to-end catastrophe modeling process.
  • Understanding location information, prioritizing high value and high-risk locations.
  • Formatting, scrubbing and arranging data in a manner understood by models and ensuring all logical checks are in place in data.
  • Accurate and timely account pricing looking at service level agreements.
  • Maintaining exposure databases and analysing it for completeness and accuracy of the information.
  • Supporting underwriters in all queries, exposure movement year over year.
  • Contributing ideas for process enhancement and improvement.
  • Understanding and interpreting model results, providing risk-specific observations to the underwriter.

Requirements:

  • 6 years' experience in the field of cat modelling/treaty modelling preferably with insurance/reinsurance experience.
  • Exposure to AIR touchstone, SQL, MS office Proficiency.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excel manipulation, functions at a foundation level is a must.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Insurance certification/Insurance projects in dissertation.
  • Advance Excel/VBA programming language.
  • Team management skills.
