Job Title: Mechanical Design EngineerWe are seeking a skilled mechanical engineer to design and execute mechanical works for solar projects, with a focus on ensuring execution aligns with approved engineering designs and industry standards.Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and interpret mechanical design drawings issued by head office (MMS, trackers, layout, fabrication drawings, assembly details).
  • Prepare or modify site-specific mechanical drawings when required (MMS foundation depth adjustments, structure alignment changes, fabrication detailing, anchoring).
  • Conduct wind load and structural stability checks for site-specific conditions.
  • Verify MMS foundation positions, tilt angles, and row spacing as per design.
  • Support fabrication, welding, and erection quality checks against approved standards.
  • Provide design clarifications or modifications at site and coordinate with head office for approvals.
  • Issue red-marked drawings or as-built drawings after execution.
  • Coordinate with civil and electrical teams to resolve interdisciplinary design issues.
  • Support site teams in resolving mechanical erection bottlenecks (torque requirements, alignment, module clamping).
  • Maintain proper documentation of design revisions, approvals, and as-built records.
Qualification & Experience/ Skills Requirements:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design/drafting tools.
  • Strong knowledge of MMS, trackers, and steel structures used in solar projects.
  • Understanding of IS/IEC codes, wind load standards, welding/fabrication practices.
  • Ability to perform basic structural calculations for MMS and support structures.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection of welding, bolting, and module installation.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills for site-level challenges.
  • B.E./B.tech in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
  • 5–8 years of experience in mechanical design and site execution (solar/renewable/industrial projects preferred).
